We are the oldest privately owned shoe shop in the UK.

The shop

The Golden Boot was established in 1790, born and bred in Maidstone it remains family owned. Seven generations on it is run by father and son team Lawrence Martin, chairman and Edward Martin managing director.

The team

We have a friendly team of about 30 people working full and part time. As a family owned business we celebrate individuality, thrive on authenticity and work very hard to deliver results. We are always interested in hearing from new people even when there are no vacancies available.

We are truly passionate about shoes. We source products from all over the wold. The emphasis is placed on high quality innovative brands and well established hand-made manufacturers.
