About Bobux: Bobux is a New Zealand children’s brand we have stocked for years, made for little feet from their very first steps onwards. The leathers are soft and the soles light and bendy, so the foot can move as it should, and the whole shoe is built around healthy foot development. The range runs from newborn Soft Soles through Step Up, I-Walk and Kid+ to the older School styles, with plenty of easy Velcro fastenings along the way.

Bobux fit & sizing tips

  • Built with wiggle room. Bobux leave a little extra space in the shoe, so they can come up larger than other brands. If your child is between sizes, the smaller one is often the better fit.
  • Leave room to grow. Aim for about 1 cm from the longest toe to the end of the shoe, and check the fit every few weeks against the foot length below.
  • Snug, not tight. A shoe that is too tight holds the foot back, and one that is too loose makes walking hard work, so go by the foot length rather than the age.
  • Soft Soles for pre-walkers. The newborn Soft Soles are sized by age rather than length, and are meant to be loose and forgiving on tiny feet.
  • If in doubt, go by the EU size. The UK number on our site can be half a size out from the one printed on the box, so the EU size and the foot length in cm are the ones to trust.

Bobux Children’s Shoes

Bobux put a great deal of thought into how children’s feet grow and move. The shoes are light and flexible with breathable leathers, holding the heel and midfoot gently while leaving plenty of room at the toes. Because they are built with a little extra space, they tend to come up larger than other brands, so it is well worth measuring rather than going by age. We stock from a small EU 18 (UK 2.5) up to EU 33 (UK 1), with newborn Soft Soles below that sized by age.

Bobux Shoes Care Guide

How you care for Bobux shoes depends on what they are made of, and a few simple habits will keep them going longer.

  • Leather and suede: brush off dust and dirt, and treat with a suitable waterproofing spray before the first wear to keep marks at bay. Leather can be wiped and buffed with a little leather wax.
  • Canvas and textile: use a natural water-repellent spray before wearing, and again every few weeks.
  • Wipe over with a damp cloth as needed, and let them dry naturally away from radiators and direct heat.
  • Lift the insole out to air, and rotate between pairs so each gets time to dry out between wears.
