About Bobux: Bobux is a New Zealand children’s brand we have stocked for years, made for little feet from newborn pre-walkers through to school age. The leathers are soft and the soles light and bendy, so the foot can move naturally, with rounded toe boxes that give growing feet room without feeling sloppy. Bobux put a great deal of thought into how children’s feet grow and move. The shoes are light and flexible with breathable leathers, holding the heel and midfoot gently while leaving plenty of room at the toes. Because they are built with a little extra space, they tend to come up larger than other brands, so it is well worth measuring rather than going by age. We stock from a small EU 18 (UK 2.5) up to EU 33 (UK 1), with newborn Soft Soles below that sized by age.

How you care for Bobux shoes depends on what they are made of, and a few simple habits will keep them going longer.

They often feel roomier than other children’s brands because Bobux build in wiggle room and growing space at the toe. We would measure your child’s foot length and match it to the chart rather than assuming their usual size, and if they are between sizes the smaller one is usually the better fit.
We would not. Bobux already allow roughly 1 cm of space at the toe when sized correctly, and going up a size tends to leave the shoe slipping at the heel and scuffing on the ground. Remeasure every few weeks and move up when the toes are getting close to the end.
Go by how your child moves, not just their age. Soft Soles suit newborns and crawlers, Xplorer for little ones pulling up and cruising, Step Up for wobbly first walkers, I-Walk for confident toddlers on the go, and Kid+ for older children including school styles. If you are unsure, our children’s team can point you to the right range once we have measured the foot.
Bobux come in one width, which runs slightly wider than average (around an F–G fitting) with a rounded toe box. Styles with double Velcro straps are the easiest to loosen or tighten, and we are happy to try a few options in store if width is a concern.
Not always. Closed-toe sandals fit much like a standard Bobux shoe, but open-toe styles are cut more generously, so we would often go down half a size from what the foot length chart suggests. Wool-lined winter boots can feel a touch snug when new, and the lining settles once they are worn in.
Bobux suggest measuring every six to eight weeks while feet are growing quickly, and we would echo that. Press your thumb on the toe of the shoe: you want a thumb’s width of space at the front, not toes pressing against the end.
