Clarks leads the shoes we group here, with Start-Rite, Geox, Bobux, Primigi and a few Dr Martens. Most are black. Trainers, boots and a trend she has seen online all wait until the list has been read.
Girls’ school shoes for secondary school in our shop are usually a plain black shoe with a bar or a lace. She may want a shape that feels older than her primary pair. That can happen inside the list. Trendy school shoes for a teenage girl, once the rule is looser, are easier to finish on our older girls’ page. Boys’ school shoes for secondary school are, in the pairs we fit, mostly black leather lace-ups. Some schools allow a plain black trainer instead, and some allow brown. We follow the sheet you bring. Older boys who are already near a men’s size can be measured in the men’s department, and our teen boys’ page carries that fitting on.
Only when that secondary school says a boot is allowed. A plain black ankle boot is accepted by some and refused by others. In our shop, most of the secondary lists we are shown ask for a plain black leather shoe, lace-up or bar, with trainers kept for PE. Some schools allow a plain black trainer all day. Yours may differ. The list in your hand is the one we fit to, and we will not talk you into a style it excludes.
