About Durango: Durango is an American western boot brand, started in Flowery Branch, Georgia in 1966, and now part of Rocky Brands. We have women’s Crush and Shyloh styles, a women’s harness boot, and men’s harness, Chelsea, Westward and tall Shyloh boots. Most have a cushioned footbed and a western heel.
Women’s Durango runs from UK 4 to UK 8. The Crush DRD0372 is an almond-toe boot with a side zip, two pull tabs, a removable cushioned insole and a 45 mm heel. The Crush bootie (RD3514) is a pull-on in waxy saddle leather with a 6 cm western heel. The Crush DRD0399 is a lower ankle boot with elastic sides, a welted leather sole and a 70 mm western heel. The tall Crush (DRD0494) has a snip toe, a stacked Cuban heel and a partial inner zip, and we only have it in UK 5. The Shyloh pony boot (DRD0492) is mid-height, with their ACS footbed and a 5 cm heel. The women’s harness (RD510) is a pull-on in waxy leather, with a chisel toe and a 4.5 cm block heel.

Men’s Durango runs from UK 7 to UK 12. The harness boot (DB594) is a pull-on with a hardened toe, a harness ring and a 4 cm western heel, on a slip-resistant rubber sole. The Shyloh Chelsea (DDB0526) has elastic sides, a chisel toe, a removable ACS insole and a 4 cm heel. The Westward (DDB0342) uses their Expand gusset, so the shaft gives a little as you pull it on, with an ACS footbed. The tall Shyloh (DDB0487) has a round toe, a removable ACS insole and a 4.5 cm heel, and it is the one that goes up to UK 12.

Looking after the leather
Wipe mud off once it is dry and use a leather conditioner on the waxy and vintage finishes. The removable insoles, where the style has one, can come out to air the boot. Keep them away from a radiator. A western heel is not a work sole on every style: the tall Crush has a leather sole, while the harness and Shyloh styles we stock have rubber.
Durango’s Advanced Comfort System, a cushioned footbed. On the Shyloh Chelsea and the tall Shyloh it lifts out.
The cushioned insole system on the Crush ankle boot DRD0399. It is there for shock absorption under a 70 mm heel.
An elastic gusset inside the Westward shaft, with two pull tugs, so the boot opens as you put it on.
Durango asks you to measure the longer foot and take the bigger size if you are between two lengths. They do not tell you to size down. Use the centimetre column for the UK size you usually take, and go up if your measurement sits between two rows.
Our website converts UK to EU on a standard shop scale. Durango’s own EU is one size higher for women’s UK 4, 5 and 6, and one size lower for men’s UK 10, 11 and 12. The UK size and the centimetre length are the pair to trust.
Use Durango’s conversion, not a generic one. Women’s US 7 is UK 4, US 8 is UK 5, US 9 is UK 6, US 10 is UK 7 and US 11 is UK 8. Men’s US 8 is UK 7, US 10 is UK 9, US 11 is UK 10, US 12 is UK 11 and US 13 is UK 12.
Yes on the styles that say so: the Crush DRD0372, the Shyloh Chelsea and the tall Shyloh. That gives you room for a slim orthotic, or just to air the boot. The Westward’s ACS is built into the footbed, so do not assume that one lifts out.
The sizes on our site are not split into medium and wide. Durango does make an M and a W on some boots. If you need a wide western boot, check the width letter on the box before you assume these are a wide fit.
