About Lejan: The Melrose is Lejan’s barefoot trainer, with a zero-drop sole, a flexible rubber sole and an anatomical toe box. The upper is suede with textile panels. We have it in chocolate, white and black. Lejan says this shoe runs larger than usual, and that most people take one size down.
We have one Lejan style, the Melrose trainer, in chocolate, white and black suede, from EU 36 to EU 42. It laces up, with a gum-coloured tread. The chocolate pair has flat cream laces and green and pink panels in the suede. Lejan uses one size chart for the Melrose, so the EU size is the same in each colour.

Looking after the suede
Brush the suede when it is dry, and use a suede protector if you will wear them in the wet. The textile panels need a wipe rather than polish. Take the insole out to air the shoe. Keep them off a radiator.
Lejan says the Melrose runs larger than usual, and that most customers take one size down. Order one EU size below the size you take in a conventional trainer, then check the inside length is still longer than your foot.
Up to EU 39 they agree. From EU 40, Lejan’s women’s UK is a size above the UK we show. EU 40 is women’s UK 7 on their chart and UK 6.5 on our site. Use their UK, or simply order by EU.
It is the inside length on Lejan’s Melrose chart, not a standard foot measurement. EU 38 is 25.5 cm inside, EU 39 is 26.3 cm, EU 40 is 26.9 cm. Pick a length longer than your foot. Because the shoe is roomy, that is usually one EU size below your normal size.
The toe box is anatomical, so the toes have more room than in a pointed trainer. Lejan’s width for these sizes runs from 8.8 cm (EU 36) to 9.9 cm (EU 42). That is the inside width of the shoe. If your foot is wider than that measurement, this last will be tight across the toes even though it is long.
Yes. The insole comes out, and the shoe is supplied with a second, more cushioned insert. The sole stays zero drop either way: the heel is level with the toe.
