About Nordikas: Nordikas make house slippers in Spain. We stock women’s and men’s mules and closed slippers in leather and suede, including the Noble, the Norwood and the Naomi. On their current size guide they give a foot length in centimetres for each EU size, and the women’s length is not the same as the men’s at the same EU number. On many of the slippers on their site they also say to take one size larger than the shoe you usually wear. An older note of ours called them true to size. Use the centimetre column, and if a pair feels short, follow their larger-size advice.
Our women’s Nordikas run from EU 35 to EU 42. Their own lengths are EU 35 at 22.4 cm, then roughly 0.6 cm a size, up to EU 42 at 26.8 cm. The UK size beside each one matches what we show, from UK 2.5 to UK 8. You will find mules such as the 2243 and closed styles such as the 1390, in suede and leather. If you usually take an EU 38 in another shoe, their size-up note would point you at EU 39 (24.9 cm) unless your foot is clearly inside the EU 38 length of 24.3 cm.

Our men’s Nordikas run from EU 39 to EU 47. Their chart starts at 24.4 cm for EU 39 and ends at 29.2 cm for EU 47. Those lengths are shorter than the women’s chart at the same EU size, so do not borrow a women’s centimetre. The UK sizes match our site: EU 39 is UK 6 and EU 47 is UK 12. Styles in at the moment include the Noble and the Norwood.
Leather and suede
Before the first wear we suggest a protector spray, such as Dasco, on both leather and suede. Leather can then be cleaned with a shoe cream. Suede wants a suede spray and a soft brush. Do not soak the slippers. Air them at room temperature, away from a radiator or a sunny windowsill, and give them a day off between wears if you can.
An open-back slipper. Most of the women’s styles we have in, and several of the men’s, are mules.
Nordikas’ own description of these slippers. They are made to be worn indoors.
Our older guide said yes. Nordikas’ own pages now tell you, on many styles, to take one EU size larger than the shoe you usually wear, and they publish a centimetre for each size. Measure, then use that chart. If you are between two lengths, take the larger EU size.
No. A women’s EU 40 is 25.5 cm on their chart. A men’s EU 40 is 25.0 cm. Always use the table for the pair in front of you.
The lining is breathable, which is what we tell people who worry about hot feet. They are still slippers, so let them air between wears.
A protector spray before you wear them, shoe cream on leather, and a suede brush on suede. Do not soak them, and do not dry them on a radiator.
In Spain. Nordikas describe the slippers as Made in Spain.
