About Pikolinos: Founded in Spain in 1984, Pikolinos makes leather shoes, boots and sandals for men and women. The uppers are natural cowhide, tanned and finished without plastic coatings so the leather stays breathable. We like them for smart-casual everyday wear: soft leather, flexible soles and that slightly Mediterranean look.

Pikolinos fit & sizing tips

  • True to size. Pikolinos is a Spanish brand sized in EU sizes and generally comes up true to size.
  • Flexible, handcrafted leather. The soft, natural leathers used need very little breaking in and move with the foot from the first wear.
  • Width varies by style. Closed styles such as boots and loafers can feel neat through the toes, while lace-ups and sandals are often more forgiving. Some styles are marked WF for a roomier upper.
  • Our take. A comfortable, characterful choice if you want something more individual than a mainstream comfort brand.

Pikolinos Women’s Shoes

Pikolinos women’s shoes are made in Spain in EU sizes and generally come up true to size, with soft vegetable-tanned leathers that give with wear. If you are between sizes or have a wider foot, the larger size is usually the better choice. We stock from EU 35 (UK 2.5) to EU 42 (UK 8).

Glossary

Handcrafted leather

Natural cowhide tanned and finished in Spain, without plastic coatings, so each pair has its own grain and colour and the leather can breathe.

Flexible sole unit

A lightweight, bendy sole that moves naturally with the foot rather than a stiffer, more structured sole.

Padded collar

Extra cushioning around the ankle opening for comfort and to reduce rubbing at the back of the shoe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Pikolinos run true to size?

We generally find Pikolinos true to size in EU if you match your foot length to the chart, though fit does vary a little between styles. Closed shoes and loafers can feel snug at first, so if you are between sizes or prefer more toe room, trying the next half size up is worthwhile.

Are Pikolinos good for wide feet?

It depends on the style. The standard last suits an average width well, but some boots and slip-ons can feel narrow through the toe box. Lace-ups adjust nicely, and Pikolinos also mark some styles WF for a roomier upper without changing the sole width.

Do Pikolinos shoes need breaking in?

Usually very little. The natural leathers are soft and supple, and most customers find them comfortable from the first wear. A shoe that pinches at the toes is more likely the wrong size than something that will ease in later.

How should I care for Pikolinos leather?

Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and let them dry naturally away from direct heat. Pikolinos include a beeswax sponge in the box for day-to-day care, and a neutral cream polish every so often keeps the leather nourished.

What are Pikolinos best suited for?

We stock them as smart-casual everyday shoes: city walking, travel and days when you want proper leather rather than trainers. The flexible soles and soft uppers suit long days on your feet.
