About Porronet: Porronet is a Spanish footwear brand from Elche, still making sandals and shoes by hand in Spain. We stock their women’s range: leather flats, wedges and toe posts in a relaxed Mediterranean style that suits warm weather. A third-generation family firm, they have been at it since the late 1950s.

Porronet fit & sizing tips

  • True to size. Porronet sandals are sized in EU and, in our experience, usually fit true to size for women’s feet.
  • Leather uppers. Most styles use soft leather or nubuck that moulds gently with wear and stays breathable in warm weather.
  • Adjustable straps. Many Porronet sandals have buckle straps, which helps if you are between widths or like a firmer hold across the instep.
  • Our take. Handcrafted Spanish sandals for holidays, weekends and warm evenings when you want a comfortable flat or low wedge that still looks put together.

Porronet Women’s Sandals & Shoes

Porronet women’s sandals and shoes are handmade in Spain in EU sizes and generally come up true to size. The soft leather straps give a little with wear, so a new pair should feel snug rather than loose. We stock from EU 36 (UK 3) to EU 41 (UK 7).

Glossary

Split leather

Leather from the underside of the hide, used on many Porronet sandals for a soft, flexible feel.

A sole that is thicker at the heel and tapers to the forefoot, giving a little height without a separate heel.

Toe post

A single strap that passes between the first and second toes, as on flip-flop style sandals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Porronet sandals run true to size?

We find Porronet sandals generally true to size in EU. Match your foot length in cm to the chart above, and if you are between sizes, we would usually go with your usual EU size for the open sandal styles we stock.

Are Porronet sandals good for wide feet?

Porronet tends towards an average width rather than a generous one. If you have a wider foot, try the buckle styles where you can adjust the strap, or come in and we can check the fit across the forefoot.

Should I size up in Porronet sandals?

For the sandals we stock, your usual size is usually right. Porronet does flag some closed shoe styles as running large, but that is not something we see on their open sandal designs.

What are Porronet sandals made from?

Most Porronet sandals use leather or nubuck uppers with a flexible rubber sole, all made in Spain. The leather is soft enough to mould a little with wear, which is part of why they feel comfortable from early on.

How should I care for Porronet leather sandals?

Wipe leather sandals with a damp cloth after sandy or dusty days, let them dry naturally, and use a neutral leather conditioner if the uppers start to look dry. Nubuck benefits from a soft brush rather than a heavy polish.

Are Porronet sandals comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes, that is what we like them for. The low heel heights, padded insoles on many styles and flexible soles make them easy for long days on holiday or a full Saturday in town.
