About Prenta: Prenta make children’s shoes with a wider fit and a wide toe box. What we stock is the Atlas, a leather first walker with a T-bar strap, a soft flexible sole, and toe and heel bumpers. The insole comes out, and it is marked with their Happy Toe Zone: two lines that show where the toes should land. They size by foot length, and each UK size is a range in millimetres rather than a single centimetre. They do not name a factory country. Their manufacturing page says they partner with factories in more than one place.

Prenta fit & sizing tips

  • Size by foot length, not age. Prenta’s chart gives a millimetre range for each size. The centimetre in our table is the middle of that range. Measure every six to eight weeks, which is what they recommend, because small feet move on quickly.
  • Happy Toe Zone. Lift out the insole, sit the heel at the back, and look at where the toes fall. If they sit between the two lines, Prenta call that a good fit.
  • Wider, with room to adjust. They describe the range as a wider fit, with soft uppers and straps that can be set for a narrower or a wider foot. The Atlas has a wide toe box and a hook-and-loop T-bar.
  • EU 19 and EU 20 match our UK. EU 19 is UK 3 (feet about 10.2–10.8 cm). EU 20 is UK 4 (about 10.9–11.5 cm).
  • EU 21 is their UK 4.5. We show that size as UK 5. On Prenta’s chart EU 21 is UK 4.5, for feet about 11.6–12.2 cm. Their UK 5 is EU 22, which we do not have in at the moment.
  • EU 20.5 is not on their chart. Prenta go from UK 4 (EU 20) to UK 4.5 (EU 21). If a pair is marked 20.5, check the UK size in the shoe before you rely on our conversion.

Prenta Children’s Shoes

The Atlas we have in is a first walker, in navy leather and rose gold leather, from EU 19 to EU 21. Prenta’s own lengths for those sizes are EU 19 at 102–108 mm (middle 10.5 cm, UK 3), EU 20 at 109–115 mm (middle 11.2 cm, UK 4) and EU 21 at 116–122 mm (middle 11.9 cm, UK 4.5). The age column is only a rough guide. A foot that measures 11 cm wants EU 20, whatever the birthday says. We also list an EU 20.5, which does not appear on Prenta’s chart, so there is no official box size or foot length for that row.

Leather

Prenta’s own advice for leather is to wipe it with a soft damp cloth. A leather cleaner or conditioner now and then keeps it supple. Let the shoes dry away from a radiator.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know the Atlas still fits?

Take the insole out and use the Happy Toe Zone. Heel at the back of the insole, toes between the two lines. If the toes are past the front line, it is time to go up. Prenta suggest measuring again every six to eight weeks.

Are Prenta shoes wide?

They say the shoes are a wider fit in general, with a roomy upper and straps that can be tightened for a narrower foot. The Atlas is described as having a wide toe box.

Why is your UK 5 shown as EU 21?

That is our site conversion. On Prenta’s chart, EU 21 is a UK 4.5 (116–122 mm). Their UK 5 is EU 22. Order by the EU size and the foot length, and read the box UK column.

What is EU 20.5?

It is on our website, and it is not on Prenta’s size chart. Their sizes around there are UK 4 / EU 20 and UK 4.5 / EU 21. Check the size stamped in the shoe.

Where are Prenta shoes made?

They do not publish a single factory country. The manufacturing page says they work with partners in more than one place, chosen for children’s shoe making.
