About Remus Uomo: Remus Uomo is an Irish menswear brand, and the pieces we have are formal shirts, jackets and trousers. A number like 15.5 is a shirt collar, not a shoe size. Larger numbers are a jacket chest or a trouser waist, and the table shows which is which.
Remus Uomo fit & sizing tips
- Shirts are the half sizes. 15.5, 16, 16.5 and 18 are collar sizes in inches, on the Seville and tapered formal shirts. The chest that Remus pair with each collar is in the table.
- Our shirts are tapered. The Seville and the tapered formal shirts are cut closer through the waist. If you prefer a roomier shirt, check the chest column before you go down a collar.
- Jackets. 42, 44, 46 and 50 are chest sizes in inches. A 42 jacket is for a 42 inch chest. The Alto has a softer, shirt-style shoulder. The Peppe jackets are suit jackets, same chest scale.
- Trousers. 30 and 32 are waist sizes in inches on the Peppe formal trousers.
- Size 40 does two jobs. On a jacket, 40 is a 40 inch chest. On the Peppe trousers, 40 is a 40 inch waist. Read the product name, not just the number.

No. 15.5, 16, 16.5 and 18 are shirt collar sizes in inches. Remus list a 15.5 inch collar with a 40 inch chest, a 16 with 41.5, a 16.5 with 43, and an 18 with 49.
What is a size 40?
It depends on the product. A jacket in 40 is a 40 inch chest. The Peppe trousers in 40 are a 40 inch waist. We have both in stock, so check the product title.
How do the jackets run?
Jacket size is the chest measurement in inches: 40, 42, 44, 46 and 50 in the sizes we have. Take the number closest to your chest.
Are the shirts a slim fit?
The Seville and tapered formal shirts we stock are a tapered fit, closer through the body than a regular shirt. Use the chest column if you are unsure the collar alone is enough room.
