About Roka: Roka London makes backpacks, crossbody bags and totes in recycled nylon and canvas. The fabric is triple-coated, so it shrugs off rain, and the bags we stock are vegan. A few pieces have a real size. Most do not.
Roka fit & sizing tips
- Small on the table is the wallet, not the small backpack. The Canfield B small is one size (33 × 23.5 × 9.6 cm, 7 litres, a tablet or notebook, and no bottle pockets). The Small filter is the Carnaby wallet, 14 × 9.5 × 2.8 cm, with three sections under one zip.
- Medium backpacks are one size too. Canfield B medium is 42 × 30 × 12 cm, 15 litres, a 15 inch laptop and two bottle pockets. Finchley A medium is listed with us at 42 × 28 × 13 cm and 15 litres, with a padded laptop sleeve and bottle pockets.
- Crossbody bags. Bond is 18.2 × 14.4 × 5.3 cm and 1.5 litres, enough for a phone, keys and a small wallet. Carnaby XL is 25 × 17 × 3 cm and 1.27 litres, three compartments for cards, cash and a phone. Kennington B medium is a flat medium, 30 × 2.5 × 30 cm on our listing, with a 130 cm strap.
- The tote is the Large filter. Roka’s size guide gives the large Marylebone tote as 38 × 30 × 38 cm and 43.4 litres, with a padded sleeve for a laptop up to 17 inches. Our denim and strawberry listings currently print 38.5 × 67 × 28.5 cm and 42 litres, so ask us to check the bag if a locker or a laptop is a tight fit.
- Socks are UK shoe sizes. Wembley ankle socks in the smaller fit are UK 3–8 (EU 36–42). The larger ankle is UK 6–12 (EU 40–48). Windsor crew socks are in the 3–8 size with us. They are organic cotton with a bit of stretch, not a bag size.
- Weather-resistant, not a dry bag. Spot clean with a damp cloth. The straps are cotton webbing and soften as you wear them.

Roka Men’s Socks
The only men’s size we stock is the larger Wembley ankle socks, UK 6–12 (EU 40–48). The bags in the men’s shop are one size. Their measurements are with the women’s notes above, because the bags themselves are not split by a fit.

Glossary
Roll top
The Canfield and Finchley close with a zip, then a flap you can roll over it. Leave it open if the bag is full.
Triple-coated
The recycled nylon or canvas has a weather-resistant finish. It handles rain and spills. It is not a fully waterproof dry bag.
One size
Most Roka bags have no small, medium or large on our site. The litres and centimetres on this page are the way to choose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Roka backpack take my laptop?
The Canfield B medium takes a 15 inch laptop. The Finchley A medium has a padded sleeve and is a 15 litre bag. The small Canfield is for a tablet or notebook, at 7 litres. The Marylebone tote’s sleeve is rated to 17 inches.
Which bag is an everyday crossbody?
The Bond at 1.5 litres if you are carrying a phone and keys. The Carnaby XL if you want card slots as well, at 1.27 litres but in a wider, flatter shape. The Kennington medium is the larger flat crossbody, about 30 cm square.
Are they waterproof?
Weather-resistant. The coating deals with rain and a spill. Do not submerge the bag. A damp cloth is the clean Roka recommends.
What size are the socks?
Wembley ankle socks come in UK 3–8 and UK 6–12. The Windsor crew we have is the 3–8 size. They are not sized in litres.
