Men’s leather shoes

About Sergio Serrano: Sergio Serrano have made men’s leather shoes in Elche since 1990. The lasts are shaped for a man’s foot, the soles are kept light, and a large part of the making is still done by hand. Their shop sells them in European sizes. They do not publish a centimetre chart, and we have no sized pairs in at the moment, so there is no conversion table on this page.

Sergio Serrano fit & sizing tips

  • Take your usual EU size. There is no official rule that says to go up or down.
  • Use a men’s size. Oxfords, bluchers and loafers are cut on a men’s last. A women’s conversion will not match.
  • Laces adjust, loafers do not. A lace or buckle lets you set the instep. A loafer needs the length and the volume to be right on their own.
  • Do not buy them short. The leather will ease a little, but a pair that pinches at the toes is the wrong length, not a wearing-in job.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes do Sergio Serrano make?

European sizes, in a men’s range. Their site is filed by EU size. They do not publish the foot length in centimetres for each one.

Do they run large or small?

They do not say. Use your normal EU size, and try the pair if you can. We would not guess a half size either way without the shoe on your foot.

Are they a wide fit?

They do not offer a width fitting. The lasts are for a man’s foot, and a lace-up gives more room to adjust than a slip-on loafer.

Where are they made?

In Elche, Spain, where the brand started in 1990. They still make a large part of the range by hand, on light soles meant to be comfortable rather than heavy.
