About Draper: Draper is a British slipper maker based in Glastonbury in Somerset. They have been hand-making sheepskin and leather slippers in their own factory since 1937, and the company is still family-owned. Their styles range from backless moccasins to ankle boot slippers, usually lined in genuine sheepskin with suede or leather uppers. We find they suit anyone who wants a proper winter slipper that will last for years rather than a season.
This is Draper of Glastonbury’s own UK to continental chart for slippers and boots. They recommend your normal shoe size, and a size up if you take a half size, because the sheepskin beds in. Men’s UK matches US, while women’s US differs between slippers and boots, and sizes on our site come and go with stock.

Yes. Draper size in UK fittings and most people are fine in their usual shoe size. If you are between sizes, we would follow Draper’s advice and size up rather than down.
That is normal with a genuine sheepskin lining. The fleece beds down and moulds to your foot after a short break-in period, usually within a couple of weeks of regular wear at home.
Many customers do, particularly in bootee styles. If you plan to wear heavy wool socks, allow for that when you try them on; a half size up is often the safer choice.
It depends on the sole. Many Draper styles have a hard rubber sole that is fine for nipping to the bins or up the garden path, but soft-soled moccasins are for indoor use only.
Wipe them with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then let them dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Brush the suede and comb the wool to freshen the nap, and do not machine wash or tumble dry them.
With sensible care they should last for years. Draper still make many of their slippers by hand in Somerset, and we regularly see customers coming back for a second pair rather than replacing worn-out slippers every winter.
