About Hey Dude: Hey Dude is an Italian casual footwear brand, founded in 2008 and now part of the Crocs group. In our experience, most styles fit as expected, but Hey Dude themselves say some models run slightly small or large. The stretch uppers on Wally and Wendy styles give a relaxed feel, so narrow feet may want to size down and wider feet often find their usual size is fine.
Hey Dude adult shoes are sold in whole sizes only. Their own guidance is to size down for a tighter fit or up for a looser one. We would usually size down if you are between halves and prefer a snug slip-on, and up if you want more toe room or wear thicker socks.
They suit wider feet better than many casual shoes. The knit and canvas uppers have give, and selected Wally and Wendy styles are available in a wide fit. They are not a formal wide fitting across every model, but the standard shapes are roomier than a typical trainer.
Hardly at all. The flexible sole and soft insole feel comfortable from new. If anything feels tight, it is usually length rather than something that will ease with wear, so use the foot length in cm on our chart rather than hoping they will stretch.
Hey Dude labels shoes in US sizing on the box and footbed, even when you order by UK size on our site. Match your foot length in cm and the EU size in our chart rather than worrying about the US number on its own.
Canvas and knit styles can go in the washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle if you remove the laces and insoles first, then air-dry out of direct heat. Suede, leather and wool pairs should be spot-cleaned only; machine washing can void the warranty.
