About Hispanitas: Hispanitas is a Spanish family shoemaker from Alicante, in business since 1925 and still making most of its women’s shoes and leather bags in Spain. The leathers are soft and supple, and the styling tends towards polished everyday wear rather than heavy-duty outdoor footwear. That combination of comfort and dressier looks is why we keep them on the shelf.
Hispanitas women’s shoes are made in Spain and generally come up true to size, with soft leathers that give a little with wear. Ankle boots and loafers suit an average to slightly slim foot; if you are between sizes or have a wider foot, the larger size is usually the better choice. We stock from UK 2.5 (EU 35) to UK 8 (EU 42).

Yes, in our experience. Use the foot length in cm on our chart as your starting point; most customers find their usual UK size is right, though individual styles can vary slightly.
Hispanitas tends towards a slightly narrower European last, so if you have a wider foot we would usually go up half a size. Boots with elastic panels or adjustable straps give a bit more room if you want to stay in your usual length size.
Only briefly. The leathers are deliberately soft and usually settle after a few short wears; they should feel snug on first try, not painful.
Open and strappy styles sit closer to the foot than a closed shoe, so wider feet often benefit from half a size up. If you are between sizes, we would usually take the larger one on sandals.
