About Kickers: Kickers is a French brand founded in 1970, known for sturdy, good-looking shoes that take a battering and keep going. They are a long-standing favourite for school, especially the chunky lace-up and twin-strap styles, and the Kick Hi boot has become a bit of an icon over the years. The leathers are hard-wearing, the soles thick and grippy, and the fit is generous, which suits a foot that needs a little room.

Kickers fit & sizing tips

  • True to size. Kickers come up true to size, so most can stick with their usual size.
  • Roomy fit. They are cut on the generous side, which is good for a wider foot. If your child is between sizes and has a slim foot, the smaller size may hold better.
  • Good for wide feet. The chunky lace-up and twin-strap school styles give a bit more room and adjust to the foot.
  • Leave room to grow. For children, allow about a thumb’s width (roughly 1 cm) at the toe, and check the fit every few weeks against the foot length below.
  • If in doubt, go by the EU size. The UK number on our site can be half a size out from the one printed on the box, so the EU size and the foot length in cm are the ones to trust.

Kickers Children’s Shoes

Kickers children’s shoes are built to last, with hard-wearing leathers and thick, grippy soles that stand up to the playground. The fit is roomy, which suits a wider foot and leaves space for growth. Children grow quickly, so it is worth checking the fit every few weeks against the foot length below. We stock from a small EU 27 (UK 9) up to EU 39 (UK 6).

Kickers Shoes Care Guide

How you care for Kickers depends on what they are made of, and a few simple habits will keep them looking smart and lasting longer.

  • Leather: wipe over with a damp cloth and a mild soap, then work in a little matching polish with a soft, dry cloth for a shine.
  • Suede and nubuck: brush away dust when dry and bring the nap back up with a suede brush.
  • Treat with a waterproofing spray to protect against the weather, and let wet shoes dry naturally away from radiators.
  • Stuff with newspaper to hold their shape, and rotate between pairs so each gets time to air.
