About Marpen: Marpen is a Spanish slipper brand, made in Elche since 1960. They specialise in house slippers with bold prints, licensed football designs and playful patterns, all built on cushioned removable insoles and hard-wearing rubber soles. We stock their ladies’ and men’s full-slipper styles for cosy wear at home.

Marpen fit & sizing tips

  • Size up if in doubt. The note on many Marpen styles is to choose a size larger than your usual shoe size, particularly if you wear thick socks at home or sit between sizes.
  • Removable insoles. The padded footbed lifts out for cleaning or airing, which is handy if you wear slippers daily through winter.
  • Machine washable. Most Marpen slippers can go through a gentle machine wash on a cold cycle; air dry them rather than tumble drying.
  • Our take. A fun, well-made house slipper with more personality than a plain mule, and the rubber sole stands up to daily wear around the home.

Marpen Slippers

This is Marpen’s own slipper chart, with foot length in centimetres beside each EU size. If your measurement falls between two sizes, they say to take the larger one, and to go up a size from your outdoor shoes if you want them roomier. Sizes on our site come and go with stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Marpen slippers run true to size?

Marpen sizes in EU and many styles are unisex, but the note on many styles is to choose a full size up from your usual shoe size. We would follow that rather than expecting a snug, true-to-size fit like a leather shoe.

Should I size up in Marpen slippers?

Yes, if you are between sizes or like room for a thick sock. On many styles the note is to go up one size from your normal footwear, and that usually gives a comfortable slip-on fit without the heel catching.

Can I machine wash Marpen slippers?

Most Marpen slippers are machine washable on a gentle cold cycle. We would air dry them naturally and avoid tumble drying, which can shrink the upper or affect the glued sole.

Are Marpen slippers suitable for outdoor wear?

They are designed as house slippers, though the vulcanized rubber sole is hard-wearing enough for quick trips to the bin or the garden path. We would not treat them as outdoor shoes for wet pavements or long walks.

Are Marpen slippers good for wide feet?

The slip-on shape and padded upper are fairly accommodating, but if you have a wider foot we would usually go up a full size rather than squeeze into your usual EU size. The removable insole also gives a little extra room if you take it out.
