About Toni Pons: Toni Pons started its journey in Osor, a small village near the city of Girona in Spain. Antoni Pons Parramon founded the firm in 1946, opening a shoe factory that produced light canvas shoes under their espadrille range, which became popular in their hometown. In the 1960s, Antoni's son expanded the brand globally by relocating the headquarters to Girona. Today, Toni Pons is a global brand specialising in handmade espadrilles, made with high-quality materials such as linen and jute. Overall, Toni Pons espadrilles are known for their high-quality materials and handmade craftsmanship, which make them comfortable, durable and superb value for money.

The majority of the styles in our range feature a canvas footbed, with the exception of Bernia-P, Etna, Teide-P, Carol-DM and Elda-DM which feature a leather lining.

Toni Pons heel wedge heights are traditionally measured in ‘ropes’. The rope and heel and sole are typically made from jute, a natural fibre that is eco-friendly and durable. The rope sole not only adds to the shoe's appeal but also provides comfort and natural flexibility. Espadrilles are a popular choice for summer footwear and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Toni Pons Fit

Compared to other espadrille makers Toni Pons is renowned for comfort as they feature a cushioned insole. They also focus very closely on the fit, ensuring all day comfort.

Sizes in European styles tend to run true to size and width for most customers. It is recommended that if you are a half size to go up to the next full size. I.e. size 37.5 would try a size 38, with the exception of the styles Etna and Teide-P which fit more generously.

Nuria is a good choice for the wider foot, while Bernia-P fits well on a higher instep.

When you first start to wear your Toni Pons espadrilles, it is quite common to feel where the jute sole is hand sewn to the upper. This eases very quickly as the stitching begins to ease and form to the shape of your foot.

At the Golden Boot we offer the majority Toni Pons espadrilles in EU sizes 35 to 43.

How to measure the length of your foot

Place a ruler on the floor flat and straight on the inside part of the foot, from the heel to the toes.

Place an object with a flat edge on the front of the foot, so that the edge touches the tip of the longest toe. The measurement of the point where the ruler meets the edge of the object corresponds to the length of your foot. It is always advisable to measure both feet as normally both feet do not measure the same. You should take the longest measurement as reference.

How do I look after my Toni Pons espadrilles?

Shoe Material Care Instructions
JUTE SOLE It is important to avoid, as much as possible, contact of your espadrilles with water. It is not recommended to use them on rainy days and it is important to keep them in a dry place without humidity so that they remain in perfect condition. Espadrille should never be put into the washing machine, or submerged in water. If the jute sole gets wet or damp, let it dry in the open air, without exposing it directly to the sun or heat and always keeping the espadrille in a horizontal position. To clean the jute soles, it is better to remove the dust using a soft bristle brush.
SUEDE OR NUBUCK UPPERS Supple suedes or nubucks make beautiful footwear but do need some tender loving care. Remember to spray your espadrilles with a protector spray before wearing them to protect against surface level stains. Clean your suede and nubuck shoes by gently removing surface dirt with a suede brush and Suede Block on any dirty marks. Use Suede and Nubuck cleaner to clean and restore softness of suede and nubuck.
LEATHER UPPERS Remove surface dirt and dust using a damp cloth. Leave to dry naturally. To recolour, nourish your shoes by applying matching colour or neutral shoe cream with a soft cloth. Remember to also spray your leather espadrilles with a protector spray before wearing them to protect against surface level stains.
