Dinosaur Crocs for Toddlers

Dinosaur crocs for toddlers are a print we fit when Crocs sends it, for a toddler boy or a toddler girl. The clog itself is the part we can always talk about: light on a small foot, easy to rinse, and quick to dry after a splash.

Prints move in and out of the range. If a dinosaur is the reason for the visit, ask us what is in before you travel. A plain clog in the right size is often the pair we end up fitting.

Choosing Crocs for a toddler

What to look for

  • A heel strap on a toddler, so the clog stays on when they run
  • Holes and a material that rinses clean and dries quickly
  • Room for the toes to spread, without so much length that the foot slides
  • A print, dinosaur or otherwise, that does not change the fit of the last

Boy, girl, or a smaller infant size

Dinosaur crocs for toddlers boy and dinosaur crocs for toddlers girl share a last. The print is the only real difference. Dinosaur crocs infant sizes are smaller, so we measure in centimetres rather than trust a gift label. For leather sandals for a toddler boy, see our leather sandals for boys.

Fitting tips from our fitters

  • Use the Crocs chart, then the foot. Crocs often disagree with the UK size of a leather shoe. Start with the Crocs size and fit guide, then let us check the clog on the foot.
  • Measure both feet. Fit to the longer one. Toddlers are rarely even.
  • Strap and slip-on are different. A heel strap can take a little growing room. A pure slip-on cannot, or the foot will slide and they will trip.
  • Watch them walk. If the heel lifts out of the strap, it is too big, however charming the dinosaur is.
  • These are not first shoes. A clog is for play and warm weather once they are walking. Early outdoor steps belong in a fitted first shoe. See shoes for toddlers.

Crocs we fit

The grid is Crocs as a brand, not a promise that a dinosaur print is on the shelf today. Ask in the shop on Gabriel’s Hill and we will tell you which prints we actually have in toddler sizes.

Frequently asked questions

Are dinosaur Crocs suitable for toddlers?

Yes, as a light warm-weather shoe, once a toddler is walking confidently and the clog has a heel strap. They rinse clean and they dry quickly, which is why families like them. They are not a substitute for a leather first shoe, and they are not for cold, wet walks to nursery.

Do you stock them for both boys and girls?

When the print is in, we fit it for either. Colour is the usual difference, not the last. If the dinosaur you saw online has gone, we will still fit a Croc in the right size and say if another print is due. We would rather be plain about stock than sell the wrong size.

How should a toddler Croc fit?

The toes sit flat, the heel stays under the strap, and there is no pinching across the top of the foot. Because the material has some give, people are tempted to buy them large. Too long, and a toddler trips. We fit the foot in front of us, not the age on a chart.

What if I need an infant size rather than a toddler?

Infant and toddler are not the same fitting. Bring the child, or a recent foot measurement in centimetres if you are asking us to check stock first. We will not convert an age into a Croc size over the telephone. Ages and feet part company very early.

Come and see us on Gabriel’s Hill in Maidstone. We will measure both feet and only then talk about dinosaurs. If the clog is wrong for the stage they are at, we will point you to a first shoe instead.
