Pink Platform Trainers

Pink platform trainers in the UK, as we fit them in Maidstone, are a pink trainer with a thicker, more fashioned sole. In children’s sizes a true platform is uncommon. Most of the girls’ pairs we fit are a cushioned everyday shoe from Geox, Skechers or Clarks, and our fitters can advise on current styles.

Ladies’ pink platform trainers, when we have them, are more often Gabor or Tamaris. Blush pink trainers and a women’s pink chunky trainer are not always a platform, and we will tell you which sole you are looking at. Men’s pink platform trainers are rarely what this rail holds.

What to look for in a pink platform sole

Platform, chunky or ordinary

A platform is a noticeably taller sole, built for the look. A chunky trainer is thicker than a racing flat and still meant for walking. An ordinary children’s trainer is neither. Hoka and On Running, when they appear here, are cushioned sports shoes, not fashion platforms. We will name the sole in your hand so the photograph and the shoe agree.

Girls and ladies

A girl whose foot is still growing stays on a children’s last from Geox, Skechers or Clarks. A girl who has reached a ladies’ size can be fitted in Gabor or Tamaris, and we still measure her rather than assuming she wants a higher sole. We do not put a young child in a platform to make her look older.

Fitting tips from our fitters

  • Measure both feet. Fit the larger foot, for a child and for an adult. The rule does not change with the sole.
  • Growing room is for children, on laces or straps. About a thumb-width past the longest toe. Do not add it to a slip-on, and do not add it to a ladies’ trainer for an adult foot. An adult is fitted to the foot she has today.
  • Walk and turn. A taller sole that tips, or lets the foot slide forward, is the wrong shoe however much she likes the pink.
  • Bring the socks she will wear. A platform already changes how the heel sits. The wrong sock makes that worse.
  • Check school rules before term. A fashion platform is seldom on a uniform list. PE trainers are a different shoe. See our PE trainers for school if that is the real brief.

Frequently asked questions

Are most of these a real platform?

No. The strict platform is the rare pair. What we fit in pink, especially for girls, is usually a normal or a lightly cushioned trainer. If a platform is the whole point, say so at the start and we will only bring you shoes that are one. Our fitters can advise on current styles.

Do you fit ladies’ pink platform trainers?

Yes, when Gabor, Tamaris or another ladies’ house has a pink sole of that kind in her size. They are fitted to today’s foot, with her usual socks, and without children’s growing room. She should walk the shop. A high sole that feels unsteady does not leave with her.

What is a women’s pink chunky trainer?

It is the everyday name for a thicker-soled pink trainer. It is not automatically a platform. Blush pink trainers are simply a paler shade, and the sole can be anything. We judge the shoe on the foot, not by the word in the search.

Do you sell men’s pink platform trainers?

Very seldom on this page. Men are welcome to ask, and if a pink style is in we will fit it. For a smarter men’s trainer, our men’s formal trainers are the better place to start. We will measure both feet either way.

Come to Gabriel’s Hill in Maidstone and walk in the pair. A thicker sole should feel steady, and we will say if a platform is really what we have in her size. Girls’ pink shoes of other kinds are on our pink shoes for kids page.
