Pink Patent Shoes for Girls

Pink patent shoes for girls are the smooth, shiny party shoe, from light pink patent shoes for girls to a hotter pink when we have it. Plenty of pink shoes beside them are a near match rather than true patent, and our fitters can advise on current styles so you know which finish you are holding.

We fit Geox, Bobux, Ricosta, Skechers, Clarks, Primigi and Start-Rite. Hot pink girl shoes and dark pink patent shoes for girls come and go with the deliveries. A sparkle is a different shoe from patent, and we will not blur the two.

Choosing pink patent shoes for girls

Patent, sparkle and a bar shoe

Pink sparkly shoes for a girl catch the light with glitter or a coated upper. Patent is smooth and mirror-like. Sparkle can feel stiffer and it sheds. A Mary Jane or a bar shoe with one strap is the shape we fit most often for parties, because it holds the foot. Ask us to name the finish before you decide it matches the dress.

Heels and older girls

Pink patent shoes for girls with a heel need extra caution. Younger girls belong in a flat. An older girl sometimes wants a low heel for a party, and we will only fit one when the shoe holds her heel and she can walk the shop without tipping. If she has reached a ladies’ size, we can seat her with the ladies’ shoes and still measure her as a growing foot.

Fitting tips from our fitters

  • Measure both feet. Party shoes are often bought from the smaller foot by mistake. We fit the larger one.
  • A strap can take growing room. About a thumb-width past the longest toe on a buckled bar or an adjustable strap. Do not leave that spare length in a slip-on.
  • Fit in the tights or with bare feet, matching how she will wear them on the day. Bare feet need a closer shoe.
  • Check the strap sits on the instep, not on the ankle bone and not cutting the top of the foot.
  • Walk and turn. A shiny shoe that slips at the heel will come off on a dance floor.
  • Soften a stiff heel cup in the shop if the leather is firm. Come back if it is still unkind after a couple of wears.

Geox shoes we fit

Bobux and Clarks are the other names we open often for a children’s party shoe. The Clarks size and fit guide is a useful read, and shoe care keeps a pale shine cleaner.

Frequently asked questions

Is pale pink easier to find than a strong pink?

It depends on the delivery. We do not keep every shade all year. Bring a scrap of the dress fabric if the pink has to match. We would rather tell you the shoe is a tone off than sell you a near miss for a wedding or a show.

Are sparkly shoes the same as patent?

No. Patent is a smooth high shine. Sparkle is glitter or a textured coating, and it can feel harder under the hand. They are both party finishes. They do not clean up the same way, and a sparkly coat can wear at the toe sooner. We will point at which is which.

Can she wear a heel?

A young child, no. A low heel for an older girl is a conversation in the shop, not a rule we bend for a photograph. She has to walk steadily, the heel of the foot has to stay in the shoe, and the height has to be modest. If it fails any of those, we fit a flat.

Will patent shoes do for school?

Only if the school allows that finish and that colour. Most lists want black, and many refuse patent. These shoes are at their best for parties, weddings and shows. Check the list before you hope a pink patent pair can double as uniform.

We fit party shoes every week at the shop on Gabriel’s Hill in Maidstone. Bring the tights she will wear and we will measure both feet. Wedding outfits are also covered on our wedding shoes for girls page.
