A leather sandal for a boy needs a strap that holds, a sole that can take outdoor play, and enough room for a warm foot at the end of the day. We fit them from the first summers in sandals through to older boys, in leather that lets the foot breathe.
Blue is a colour we see often. Black leather sandals for boys are a regular request and are not always in stock, so ask us if a uniform or an outfit fixes the colour.
Comfortable leather sandals for boys suit warm weather once he is past first shoes. Younger boys usually need a closed heel strap. Older boys sandals can be a simpler style, as long as the fastening still holds when he runs. If a summer uniform list allows sandals, bring it with you. Many schools do not.
Bobux, Geox, Timberland, Ricosta and Primigi are among the boys’ sandal brands we fit. Read the Bobux size and fit guide and the Timberland size and fit guide before you visit. They are a start, not a substitute for measuring.
The pair that holds the heel and still leaves the toes free. There is no single model we would name for every child. Soft leather and an adjustable strap matter more than a trend. If a sandal in front of us is wrong for his foot, we will say so.
Toes lie flat, with about a thumb of spare length on a strap sandal, and the heel does not lift when he walks. Straps sit firm without leaving a red mark. If you can pinch a fist of spare leather over the instep, it is too big.
Only if your own school says so. Some summer lists allow a sensible sandal and many ban them. Bring the list, or a photograph of it, and we will choose within the rules. A sandal he cannot wear in September is no help.
Reduced children’s sandals are on our children’s sandals sale page. Fit him before you choose a reduced pair. The wrong size is not a saving, even when the price is lower.
